A new drug trial, coming out of the University of Copenhagen, studying the effects of Tesofensine as a weight loss pill shows a measurable success rate when compared to other drugs on the market. The study included 203 obese patients over a six month period. In addition to Tesofensine, the participants upped their physical activity to 30-60 minutes per day combined with a low calorie diet.
After six months non-placebo participants lost an average of 28 lbs. Current diet pills on the market have an average weight loss of 11 pounds over the same period (when combined with a low calorie diet and exercise).
